Side-Note

Jesus was alone too you know (like with just Him and the Father)? Well He really was. He told his disciples all of them would be scattered and leave him alone. What did they do? Just that, duh (after all this is Jesus we're talking about lol). Anyway, Jesus said this and it happened just like He had said. He was dying on their behalf-- yet they were rejecting Him. I can't liken myself to Christ in this area, I mean I've never laid down my life for someone else. You know what I mean? I have been feeling utterly alone though. I know I'm not but I don't really seem to have any friends around me, ever. I don't really seem to let people in. Why? Because letting people in means allowing myself to be vulnerable and being rejected. This is outward infliction. But I guess shutting people out is all in all a self infliction and therefore more bearable, but it's not really. Anyway back to Jesus and His disciples. Jesus literally gave peace to them because He loved them. In the same way, Jesus has given me a peace even right now in the midst of what I've been feeling is true-- even though I know it isn't because I have friends and family all around me that love and care about me deeply. Tonight, after reading the scripture I am including at the bottom of this post, I wrote some stuff. I wanna share it. Maybe someone out there is feeling like me... a little too alone in a little too big of a world!

You have seen my tears through the darkest night
You have held me close and whispered about thing's no one knows
You have dried all my tears when the battle inside of me has been too hard for me to handle on my own
You have given me a hope that no one could ever know unless they know you.
I have walked through the rain many nights, crying like the pouring rain around me
Yet in the midst of all of this,
You saw me! You saw me! Yes, You saw me!
You never once took your eyes off of me!
You saw me the night I cried myself to sleep as I prayed for You to make a way for me
You saw me the night I tried to die and how determined I was to walk away from this life
Yet you have way better plans than that for me so you made me stick it out with You through the pain I was in
Yes, You are still teaching me this life can be hard--
You never did deny that, did you?
No you didn't, not even once!
Surely enough though, You have stuck by me when I felt the world about to do me in
And when I was about to go under by the tow
You caught me, saved me and helped me...
You are the most amazing friend ever,

This is a poem I found that I wrote about a month ago? I'm not quite sure when though. Anyway, it's just something I wrote because I felt like thing's were truly falling apart, which in a way they were. I have found a new way of looking at it though, so yeah, this is where I was!

I’m looking, searching, trying to find air
Gotta breathe, gotta take some time,
Gotta have some bread, drink some water…
Lord knows I’m searching for something real
There has to be more than this right here…
My heart is crying out,
My soul is dying while my flesh is succeeding
I’m not perfect, I’m far from it
I am not satisfied with just living this life.

I am including it up here as maybe someone is searching for something real, something that is more than just going through the motions. Life is definitely something more than going through the motions and Jesus' Word is the same. He never asked you to have a normal life, He does ask you to follow Him though. So, take Him at His word and where ever He leads you, follow Him.

Anyone who wants to be my disciple must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me. (John 12:26, NLT)

"Think About These Things"

The bible is clear about the thing's we should think about:
Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-- and whatever is praiseworthy, think about such things. (Philippians 4:8)

TRUE: In accordance to reality

NOBLE: possessing, characterized by, or arising from superiority of mind or character or of ideals or morals

RIGHT: righteousness; upright; acting in accord with divine or moral law : free from guilt or sin

PURE: unmixed with any other matter; free from moral fault or guilt

LOVELY: delightful for beauty, harmony, or grace

ADMIRABLE: excellent; deserving the highest esteem

PRAISEWORTHY: commendable; to recommend as worthy of confidence or notice


TO WHOM:
Finally brothers and sisters…
TRUE
Whatever is the reality of the cross, whatever is the reality of your faith, whatever is the reality of the eternity that exist…
NOBLE
Whatever is coming from the Word of God, whatever is founded on these truths, whatever is pushing you into holiness…
RIGHT
Whatever is righteous, whatever is upright, whatever is good, whatever is keeping to God’s Word…
PURE
Whatever is unpolluted by this world…
LOVELY
Whatever is delightful, whatever is beautiful, whatever has harmony, whatever has grace…
ADMIRABLE
Whatever is excellent, whatever deserves high esteem…
PRAISEWORTHY
Whatever is commendable, whatever is worthy of confidence or noticing…
THE COMMANDMENT:
Think about such things.

The Beauty of the Cross - Jonny Diaz LIVE

SOAP Time

Hey,

Maybe you're new at this whole "Quiet/SOAP Time" thing. Well, I'm not here to tell you what to do, but I'm here to help you. Do you know what soap does? It washes away all the dirt, germs, etc. on your skin, which is your first line of defense against a disease, illness or sickness. Quiet time is suppose to be like that too... that's why I sometimes call quiet time SOAP time.

Tonight I want to focus on what SOAP stands for... and later I will talk about what the Word of God says about our quiet time with God... even look at some of the thing's Jesus did during His alone time with the Father.

So, first thing is first------>>>> SOAP stands for:
S scripture
O observation
A application
P prayer

  • Scripture. Write down the scripture(s) you're reading.
  • Observation. What do you observe/notice? What sticks out to you?
  • Application. How does it apply to you? How can you use it later on today or tomorrow? What can you learn from this scripture(s)? What's something really important to remember because of this scripture?
  • Prayer. Pray to be reminded of these things later on.

Now this doesn't mean you have to do it in this same order. It doesn't even mean you have to write all this down. It sometimes helps though, so you can have a record of it. But it isn't necessary!

I always like to think about our SOAP time being a time of seeking God, encountering Him and washing the world off. Don't let anything stop you from just sitting before the throne of God for just a little while each day. Jesus is waiting for you! :)

Continue the walk and keep seeking God, He's there for you! Jesus can truly be your best friend and your greatest lover. Promise.

Good morning lovely one!

I hope this finds you in a great mindset today! Remember, Psalm 118:24 (at bottom) today as you get up and start moving around! It is going to be a great day today! Don't let others bring you down, you are a child of the Most High God (if you have been saved)! Your King has everything under control and He is still on His throne!

It's sunny here today, a little windy but it's beautiful! :) It is going to be a great day to sing and dance and make a joyful noise! Today, I'm feeling like we should do something nice for someone else! Let's worship God today through EVERYTHING we do, not just something's we do! Let God be glorified today through everything :)

PS if you're going through something, hang in there God isn't done with your situation yet! I may not know your situation but I know our God-- He is mighty and awesome, He won't let you down. :)

Good afternoon!

This is the first blog session of the new year. I know I'm late. Most people have already said happy new year and all that good stuff... So happy late new year. :) I hope this letter finds you well this year! I know it's already February and it seems to me that the time is flying way to fast!! :) It's okay though, I'm not complaining because I'm ready for classes to be over. I'm not wishing my life away, I'm just ready to graduate... With what degree is a good question though!

O let me tell you the "dealio" with the title of this blog: Seeking Heart is for me to basically share with you some letters and thing's of that nature with you. Lately I've found that many people are going through the same thing and I love writing letters to "no named people" so that maybe, perhaps, someone who needs it can hear it from someone. I am the type of person that thinks too much and usually don't say stuff out loud to people, even when they need to hear it. Especially hard things to say. I am also caring though, so when I say what I say-- consider it as if it's to a friend. We all go through hard things. I hope this both inspires and helps in the hard times. I also hopes it drives you to Jesus Christ, the only true hope and lover that exists.

Finally, I hope to include a scripture in each blog. Even if it's a short & simple scripture, I hope it helps you in your walk with Christ and also reminds you to do your quiet time.

I hope Seeking Heart will encourage you to truly have a 'seeking heart' after Jesus Christ and that you will truly find 'beauty at the cross'!
